ChatGPT has bitten me in the bum.

Recently I started counting calories again, for a few reasons which I will share more about soon đź‘€.
I've been using ChatGPT to save me time and energy when it comes to logging meals.
I put in the all the ingredients and ask it to calculate the macros and calories, then I would copy that number into my calorie tracker.
Smart, right?
WRONG!!
So we all know AI can make mistakes- it literally has a disclaimer, but i assumed counting calories was so simple that I could rely on that data.
Absolutely not.
I've used this method for a few weeks and noticed only last week that there was a HUGE discrepancy between what Chat calculated and what I assumed were the cals. So i manually went through and calculated them myself and Chat was 250 calories less than the actual calories (DW someone else checked my math too, because I know you're thinking 'but Shea you suck at maths').
So lesson learned to me, and now to you. I don't know how many meals my calories have been out for or maybe it was just this one 🤷‍♀️, but moving forward I am definitely more conscious of how I will be tracking my meals and recipes because most of the time we know faster does not always mean better.
If you've been using Chat to calculate meals, recipes, calories & macros and you're not noticing a shift in weight or getting closer to your goal this might be the problem.
If you've got body goals and you don't know where to start then I'd love to hear from you!
Reply 'chat' to this email and I'll get back to you ASAP or send me a DM on socials.
I can't wait to hear from you!
Shea
xx
