How I run without anxiety.

Over the weekend I went away with my girl gang, and it was glorious.

We celebrate each others birthdays while we are away and it's my birthday in December & our other friends birthday in November, so the rest of the group decided to celebrate them together and organised:

✨A FUCKING SCAVENGER HUNT RACE ✨ through Hervey Bay.

💜 The love and effort that went into the whole affair was next level. ❤️From team coloured 🩷🩵 bandanas, to ridable dragons (hello Fourth Wing 🐉), to throwing fish in a bucket (see A Fate Inked in Blood 🎣) and finally a Murder Mystery to solve (from A Good Girls Guide to Murder 🔪🩸), the whole event was an absolute wild ride of joy! Plus gifts spread along the way 📚.

After the fishing event there was a random card draw to get back to the house via: A: an air conditioned car ride or B: a 900 up hill run.

Guess what your girl got? I'll give you a hint, it wasn't A. 😂🥵

Many years ago the idea of running 900m impromptu would have sent me in to an anxiety spiral and I would have been on the cusp of a panic attack the whole run.

But I've worked so hard over the years to change my relationship with running and movement that I was so excited to give it my all! I took off without a second thought, in thongs and the middle of the day and got back in what I can only assume was record time! ⌚️

I'll be honest there were a few points where I did question whether I was supposed to run 😅 but I was assured that I was.

This relationship change didn't happen overnight or without effort. It came through running Parkrun with Tamika, showing up to the gym when I really didn't want to, and always pushing myself to go a little bit harder and faster.

Pushing myself to feel uncomfortable has increased my confidence and self esteem, which means now I feel so much comfort in the uncomfortable.

Through all this I still remember how scary and overwhelming I used to feel about exercise and that's why our sessions focus on having fun and being with people who's company you enjoy.

I want everyone to feel the way about exercise that I do now!

If you dream of running 900m without a second thought then you NEED to come along to our sessions!

Just reply 'call' to this email and lets book in for a chat about your goals and how we can fit! 📞

A MASSIVE thank you to all the angels for organising the highlight of my year with our scavenger hunt! 🪽

I can't wait to hear from you!
