In my 20's I dreamed of having the relationship I do now with food and exercise.
When I think back to my 20's I put so much pressure on myself to only eat clean and over train; in both effort and frequency.
No wonder it was unsustainable.
If I could go back and give me some advice I would say,
"Be kinder to yourself. You're not only trying to change habits, but you're also learning HOW to change those habits. Changing habits to begin with is hard, but also learning what you need to change is another challenge. Of course you're not going to be perfect with all that going on. Secondly, your body is not going to change in 2 weeks, please stop getting so frustrated and angry when you don't look any different. All this pressure is actually making it harder for you to change these habits and your body."
Maybe you're like 20 year old me, and your learning or relearning how your habits need to change to suit your current life.
If that is the case then,
"Be kind to yourself. This journey is so much easier when you are".
