How I love my body ❤️.

There are a lot of holes in the fitness industry but one of the most problematic messaging I see is the belief that women need to look a certain way to find happiness & love.
Don't worry I fall victim to this messaging too, but I also believe that no matter how your body looks, no one is impervious to the mass marketing of fat loss.
To push back on the messaging some questions I ask myself when I start to slide into the toxic, adrenaline fuelled spiral of NEEDING to lose weight is:
'Will my worth go up because my body looks different? Will I be a kinder person? Will people like me more?"
And the answer to all those questions is ❌ no ❌.
I also believe there can be times where you love your body, but not feel comfortable in her. This is time to consider your habits, diet and movement. 🍎
I explicitly reject the idea that fat loss should be used as a tool to love or accept your body. If you attempt fat loss with that goal, a. you will never be skinny enough and b. the journey will cause harm to your body. 🧠
You only have one body, so you need to treat her with love, kindness and respect and she will give it back to you.
If you planning to entering a fat loss phase keep an eye out for my email next week where I tell you how to manage the wild HANGER that comes with calorie deficits.
