Are you actually hungry, or are you just bored?

The difference between being bored and hungry and actually being hungry can be hard to tell when you're in the moment, and caving into your hungry.

 

But here are some simple and quick tests you can do to help determine whether you are actually hungry or bored.

 

  1. has the hunger come on suddenly, or when you're scrolling/ mindlessly living, or at the same time every day?

  2. Are you craving a specific food, chocolate or chips?

 

or

 

  1. are there physical cues, growling stomach, irritability, fatigue?

  2. most foods sound appealing, not just snacks?

 

Ask yourself would I eat a carrot or piece of plain chicken right now?

 

If the answer is no, then you can skip whatever snackie you were planning.

If the answer is yes, then sis GO EAT!

 

Don't ignore those genuine hunger cues, but also don't eat mindlessly because you 'think' you're hungry.
