The Easter hunt.. For a way to lose those Easter eggs kgs you gained over a 4 day weekend. Then ther

I’ve heard it time and time again, “just when I start to get on track a holiday or birthday month comes around and I have to start again”.

We don’t want to see any of you feel like you have to start again just because of a 4 day weekend, so here are some helpful tips and reminders we use which will hopefully keep you on track over this long weekend and all the other ‘life obstacles’ you will encounter.

  1. Start realizing that these occasions will occur for the rest of your life so you shouldn’t blame or hate them.

  2. You are in control of your life and reaching your goals- this should remind you that you need to take the power into your own hands and not let ‘the weekend’ or the chocolate be the winner.

  3. But what about all the days, then weeks of Easter eggs? You do not need to eat them straight away. The shelf life of chocolate is longer than your life (I have eaten chocolate from the 60’s, it was fine), so begin by understanding that you can enjoy the treats for a while.

  4. Failure to plan, is a plan to fail- plan your weekend out. Are you having pancakes for breakfast with the fam, then lunch at your in-laws then dinner at a friends for the next four days? That’s great, but be mindful of what you’re eating. Choose which is your favourite cook, and enjoy that food the most, with the others choose one delicious goodie and then fill your plate with delicious salad and veggies. This will also save you from feeling sick at the end of the day!

  5. You feel like you have no self-control over the chocolate that’s in the fridge? Try rationing it into portions for each day and stick to one portion because you know you have more for tomorrow.

  6. Drink a cup of tea, or coffee with your chocolate to help you feel satisfied.

  7. Write down your goal, remind yourself of it in the morning and before each meal and feel how important reaching your goal is! Let this fuel your potions and selections for the day

  8. Don’t get into your own head and ruin this time by stressing about the fact that you ate too much, or blaming yourself for not eating perfectly! This will make you guilt eat and you’ll be worse off than when you started!

  9. Most importantly enjoy yourself! Easter is a great opportunity to have 4 days off work, spend time with your family and relax! You do you boo!!

Do you have any other tips or tricks that you love to implement to keep you on track? We’d love to hear them!
